From Asian shores to Alberta Prairies - (Collaboration with Alberta Public Library Services and the Calgary Public Library)

Ongoing project to raise funds and to acquire Asian books and multi-media material for donation to Public Libraries in Alberta.   The specific objective of From Asian shores is to boost the collections of public libraries in smaller city centres and rural areas where there is a burgeoning need to serve culturally diverse library users.  This initiative is gaining support among the local Asian community associations eager to make a lasting contribution with far-reaching benefits. When this program was launched in 2009, support from ImaginASIAN accounted for the largest donation ever received by the Parkland Library System, which serves over 250 libraries across Alberta.
