The Asian Heritage Foundation is proud to engage Asian and immigrant families in a public discussion about the future of Alberta’s Kindergarten to Grade 12 education system. Parents, children and youth are invited to participate in age-appropriate discussions and activities. This forum supplements a series of province-wide community conversations held from April to June 2009 on Inspiring Education: A Dialogue with Albertans, an initiative of the Government of Alberta’s Ministry of Education [Online: www.inspiringeducation.alberta.ca].
All Albertans are invited to provide their views to ensure the government hears deeper and broader perspectives from the public about what it means to be an educated Albertan 20 years from now. AHF is proud to support this event in order to include the Asian and immigrant voices towards creating a long-term vision for education in Alberta and a policy framework to guide the operation of the Alberta’s education system.
