Welcome

In December 2001, the Senate of Canada passed a motion to officially designate May as Asian Heritage Month in recognition of the important contributions of Asian Canadians to the settlement, growth and social and cultural development of Canada and in recognition of Canada’s diversity.

ImaginASIAN 2012, Calgary’s Asian Heritage Month,  joins eleven cities across Canada, including Fredericton, Montréal, Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver in presenting a month long festival to celebrate Canada’s Pan-Asian heritage.

Through ImaginASIAN and other programs during the year, the AHF creates engaging opportunities for people of all backgrounds to participate in activities and events that reflect the diversity of Asian-Canadians in Alberta.

In addition to the ImaginASIAN lineup, the AHF also helps to promote other community events held in honour of Asian Heritage Month.
